These three mini-blogs will learn you how to create your own Shakespeare insult generator.
The first time I encountered a predecessor of the Shakespeare insult generator, was in 2001. At that time I was working as a developer at Navision NL. During one of the technical training session in Denmark, a technical fellow showed the reporting options in Axapta version 2.x. The data for the report was randomly retrieved from a fixed list of Shakespeare insults. Later I learned that the original list of Shakespeare insults actually was gathered by an anonymous teacher who was a huge fan of Shakespeare.
Three lists of words will be used as basis. The way in which an insult is composed is shown in the following image.
Challenge
- Download the Excel file with words.
- Think of a way to generate an insult based on the words from the Excel file.
The next blog shows how to create a web service for the Shakespeare Insult generator.
